Bra's In the Boardroom

With persistent reminders of gender equality in business for the last ten to fifteen years., You would suppose that the opportunity for women in Leadership would be at its greatest. Well! Sadly, only 29% of leadership roles in the workforce are women. the male domination defines the growth. - or lack of change, specifically in SMEs. Whilst the larger, innovative companies note this vital element of sustainability. it seems the established smaller companies which account for 99% of the UK workforce, have failed to invest in female leads.  - as of yet!

Regardless of a tremendous movement on sustainable enterprise incorporating the wellbeing of people, Expanded to the sustainable returns of profit & planet, unfortunately, there is still gross inequality for women who selected to decrease their hours (pay and opportunities) to raise a family.

With a family now growing well into their teens,  I have devoted my time to putting myself through university whilst working two part-time jobs, allowing me to earn, learn and raise a clan. After Finishing a 6year business degree with first-class honours. I embark on an MSc Degree and continue to better myself with ongoing personal development to launch a fighting opportunity.

A female presence of lower paid jobs in low skill roles dominates specific industries, with appropriate convenience for raising a family. However, not all primary caregivers want to choose between their responsibilities as a parent or relinquish their careers. As males, less educated, less qualified or less experienced are promoted in their roles. The career advancement I so yearned for, evidently is further out of reach.

It appears impossible to convince nearly 80% of male leaders that women have what it takes to do their job and the opportunities to advance is regarded as potential business prospects.

The under-representation in the leadership ranks indicates that misconceptions of women’s success lie in their ability to impersonate men. In many cases, unmotivating & harmful female leaders deliver the undesirable male energies of the board rooms. However, studies from Harvard Business Review show that women have what it takes to lead effectively.

The future sustainable business models blend a transformational leadership that creates higher team engagement, productivity and performance. Academic studies depict that women have more significant potential to lead with inspiration, transform attitudes and beliefs, and align with employees’ values, meaning and purpose. Is the future enticement to motivate men in power, to embrace more effective leadership manners naturally encountered in women, or design more possibilities for women to lead. An Outstanding leader’s emotional intelligence is well-balanced in Authenticity, coaching, insights and innovation, regardless of gender - nurturing employees to greater productivity. Developing a talent pool of more exemplary role models would entitle competent men and women to progress - A critical path to enhancing leadership performance. .
